The "It Takes All Kinds" Project

THE

“IT TAKES ALL KINDS" PROJECT

SHARE YOUR PIECE OF THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Share your piece of the human experience and be part of the compilation called It Takes All Kinds. This “pilot project” topic is Intelligence.  Please answer both parts using the form located at the bottom of this page.

Part One: In 150-200 words, please tell me: What generally makes someone intelligent in your eyes? We’ve heard that it takes all kinds of people to make the world go ‘round. Most of us have secret preferences and biases that I’m asking you to share some more about. (Please don’t qualify your answers or “waste words” stating there are all types of intelligence… that’s the point of this compilation!)

Part Two: In 500-1000 words, please share an example of when someone surprised you by demonstrating an intelligence you didn’t expect of them. The goal is to share moments when you saw beyond your biases and learned something new.

GUIDELINES and COMPENSATION

  • This is a pilot project. There are no guarantees that It Takes All Kinds: Intelligence will be traditionally published in print form. If it is, successful contributors will receive a free copy of the publication. If the venture earns capital, contributors will be compensated as detailed in the contract they receive once the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

  • All work must be submitted through the form located at the bottom of this page.

  • Only unpublished work will be considered. As this is a topic-specific venture, no simultaneous submissions are allowed.

  • DO NOT use anyone’s real name in your story. If possible, avoid using identifying locations, too.

  • All stories will be edited for clarity.
